O corporativismo da esquerda (francesa) ainda é o que era
"There is a growing belief among the French political class that only two people have a serious chance of winning this election: Mr Sarkozy and Mr Bayrou. It was recognition of this apparent shift in momentum last week that caused one of the titans of Miss Royal's party, Michel Rocard, who was prime minister during the Mitterrand years, to suggest his party form an electoral pact with Mr Bayrou, on the grounds that Mr Sarkozy was unbeatable otherwise. The old centre-Left consensus in France cannot bear the prospect of Anglo-Saxon-style free-market liberalism and further restrictions on immigration, which Mr Sarkozy promises."
